Welcome to the blog! I want to first share who the blog is for, my purpose of posting information here, and what you can expect to read on this page.

Who’s the blog for?

For women! Specifically as a resource for women in pregnancy and transitioning to the postpartum phase of life. This page can also be a useful resource for yoga teachers working with pregnant women, to help modify for those women joining in on weekly classes.

Do I need to practice yoga to follow this blog? 

Nope! There will be information on yoga related topics, but also mental health, food and wellness practices anyone can benefit from, not just yogis 🙂

So what’s the point?

My purpose in sharing this blog is to create a resource for women who are taking a prenatal or postnatal course with me, as a supplement to the course, and also for women whom I may never meet, but stumbled across my page. I hope these women find a benefit in reading the blog.

What can I find here?:

I hope to share a wide variety of information, and here are a few of the topics on my radar:

  1. Answering common questions about yoga and pregnancy.
  2. Home practice sequences for all trimesters and for the transition to postpartum phase.
  3. Meditations and affirmations to empower women.
  4. Ayurvedic food and lifestyle tips.
  5. Essential oils and herbs in pregnancy and beyond.

As a note, I am a registered prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher, not a doctor or a trained physiotherapist. Please consult with these professionals first and use the advice on this page to your own judgement. These suggestions may not suit every woman, but are a generalization with modifications provided that suit most women.
