“Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.”

-Jon Kabat-Zinn

Background

From the moment we wake up we are being pulled in a million different directions. Our ability to stay focused and efficient during the workday is constantly challenged, and at the end of the day we are often left with an unfinished feeling for our priorities/tasks. Often, this can lead to negative stress and the feeling of “taking our work home”. This cycle can sometimes continue on a regular basis. So how do we break these cycles, stay focused and feel good in our day-to-day lives?

About Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a concept that has been around for many years, and you may have heard something about it in different contexts, such as at a yoga studio or while watching a wellness documentary. The practice of mindfulness is becoming more and more popular to incorporate in our private lives, but rarely do we talk about mindfulness in a business setting. But, why not? If the benefits are vast, why should we limit these to our after-work activities?

Mindfulness @Work Events

During a mindfulness@work seminar or workshop, you will gain insights and tips on how you can incorporate mindfulness in your daily life. Both at home, but also more focused on how to use mindfulness at work. A favorite takeaway is creating a personalised framework for a mindful workday. In the basic event you can:

– Get a better understanding about mindfulness.
– Reflect on how your daily tasks and distractions actually affect your wellbeing.
– Learn simple tips related to mindfulness (it’s easier than you think to start being mindful).
– How you can involve others to follow suit and practice mindfulness with you.
– And, get great insights on how you can take the next step and incorporate mindfulness at work.
