From the moment we wake up we are being pulled in a million different directions. Our ability to stay focused and efficient during the workday is constantly challenged, and at the end of the day we are often left with an unfinished feeling for our priorities/tasks. Often, this can lead to negative stress and the feeling of “taking our work home”. This cycle can sometimes continue on a regular basis. So how do we break these cycles, stay focused and feel good in our day-to-day lives?
Mindfulness is a concept that has been around for many years, and you may have heard something about it in different contexts, such as at a yoga studio or while watching a wellness documentary. The practice of mindfulness is becoming more and more popular to incorporate in our private lives, but rarely do we talk about mindfulness in a business setting. But, why not? If the benefits are vast, why should we limit these to our after-work activities?
